A Closer Look at Cuba Lake Images

From its original construction until the 1950's, Mr. Bog Olive owned the complex known as "Olivecrest", consisting of the "pavilion", the amusement park and the swimming area. The dance pavilion, at various times, was called "Olive Crest", "Palais Royale" or just plain "Olive's", but everybody called it, simply, The Pavilion.

The Merry-go-round at Cuba Lake was one of most beautiful in the nation.

Today, it occupies its own room at the New York State Historical Museum in Albany!
